Sales
Omnia Art advises on how best to sell works of art, having looked at the various options: private treaty sales with their tax advantages; auction sales with the publicity and competition they can generate; or a sale to an overseas museum or collector. We have handled many major house contents sales and single owner collection sales.
Purchases
On behalf of our clients we buy works of art, carrying out research, checking the condition and provenance, as well as negotiating the sale price and supervising delivery. We bid for clients at auction as well as making private purchases.
Heritage Issues
Omnia Art has extensive knowledge of the various implications that heritage and cultural issues have on the disposal of works of art. We negotiate offers of works of art to the nation in lieu of inheritance tax as well as private treaty sales to UK institutions. We also handle chattel rental negotiations, cultural gifts and conditional exemptions.
Valuations & Other Services
We provide valuations for insurance, probate, rental, gift and sale purposes. We advise on the management of a collection, including advice on conservation, investment, museum loans and bequests, family art distribution, framing, hanging, lighting, storage and transportation. We also advise on the import and export of works of art.
